He did his undergrad at UC San Diego in Neuroscience and did a 2 year stint in Biotech. His research was on people living with HIV, later in life, present with dementia like systems that is poorly understood. My studies focus on elucidating the underlying mechanisms of HIV induced neuronal damage.

What area of science do you think is particularly better handled in a more decentralized way? Hydrogen nuclear fusion probably requires some strong centralized leadership to push through (open to being wrong)

Is dementia also present in HIV patients with undetectable viral loads from continued treatment? Is the dementia linked to just having been infected, or to how long the virus stays detectable / untreated?

Do you see the format of publishing scientific findings changing in the next decade or so? Papers and PDFs seem outdated to me at this point. Something a little more interactive like a jupyter notebook or similar would be cool if it became the standard

How do you plan on reviewing scientific knowledge in an open or decentralized way without returning to status or reputation based reviews? Or if that is the case why would a novel status/rep based system like on chain reputation be superior to a traditional scientific review process?
