Let's walk through the signs of an altcoin market reversal. Let's take a look at the domination chart of ether (ETH.D), which finally realized a reversal of the lowest values that ETH came to on September 5-6, 2019 (6 years ago!!!). And we reached those values (7%) and quickly bounced back from them on April 21-22. Isn't that beautiful? Charts really like to test their lowest values. And this is the moment we should have waited for actually and it would have more accurately predicted the return of strength to ETH, rather than the endless analysis of the BTC domination chart. Although it is not useless and also gives useful signals - on the BTC Domination chart (BTC.D) we can see that we reached a strong resistance in the form of 2.618 Fibonnacci level on the same dates when we made a break on ETH domination. Also, the BTCDOM futures (BTC.D) futures have been rising non-stop for exactly 4 years now!!!! It is time to fix long positions on BTCDOM. The market is cyclical. Now time for pumping alt/btc pairs.

How are planning to make Farcaster sign ups free? 1. At the protocol, there will always be some amount of cost. Truly free would mean you can spin up an infinite number of spam accounts and fill up the network with junk, making Snapchain unusable. If you allow accounts to be deleted / removed at the protocol, you remove decentralization / introduce a backdoor for censorship. 2. Today the protocol fee is $2 per sign up. We're reducing that $0.20 in the next few weeks. And then there's a path reducing it to $0.10 or $0.05. 3. Warpcast is experimenting with offering a free sign up if you connect a qualifying X / Twitter account. We hope we can offer other methods like phone number verification, proof of human credentials, etc. in the future. Important: we're still paying the protocol fee under the hood. So we're effectively "underwriting" new users. Any app can take this approach. Continued in next cast...

I actually think the growth of app layer is exactly the time that good social philosophy is needed *most*. Analogy: imagine that C++ had been made by a totalitarian racist fascist. Would it be a worse language? Probably not. C++ is general purpose, there isn't much surface for bad social philosophy to wreck it (or good social philosophy to improve it). Ethereum L1 is not quite in that position: someone who doesn't believe in decentralization would not add light clients, or FOCIL, or (good forms of) account abstraction; someone who doesn't mind energy waste would not spend half a decade moving to PoS... But the EVM opcodes might have been roughly the same either way. So Ethereum is perhaps 50% general-purpose. Apps are ~80% special purpose. What apps you build depends heavily on what ideas you have of what ethereum apps (and ethereum as a whole) are there to do for the world.
