it’s hard cuz it’s not standardized in terms of units like the stock market but when I Google a stock, the price is the first thing I see, market cap is a data point. Analysts on TV discuss price targets mostly around dollar values, less market caps. I think it makes sense in some ways, minus the fact that $0.00001 is not a good way to display price 🙃

market cap with no price also doesn’t make sense. Literally the most important signal anyone care about is asset price. ideally with some historical chart. if I see a new coin priced at $100, I don’t even need to look at the market cap to pass on it.

I am 100% with you on this, the most important thing I usually look at is market cap and FDV.... but you're fighting (uninformed) human psychology here. If you don't give them the price, they'll open a new app to get it 🤷 You don't want that. They don't want that. Give them their price and keep your fuel for more important battles :)

50:50 that when people ask about adding price what they really want is price change $0.01 — tells you nothing (+10.0%) — gives a little social signal $0.01 (+10%) — gives you enough to imagine how much you missed out on / how much you made

Yes but if i’ve seen the token before and then I want to check how it is later Like I remember degen used to be up to $0.05 ATH Or blast used to be $0.10 last year Or Sui used to be $1 recently

Price is just market cap / supply (Fdv that is, market cap / circ supply for circulating market cap)
