Surprised by this as well. POAP is great, but organizing prior to an event via onchain credentials feels like a no brainer.

Are there alternatives to POAPs? Taking scalpers into account even if they push prices upwards the original holders could still get royalties. This would also make speculation harder and make it more expensive for scalpers decreasing the incentive

POAP is great, but from what I understand it doesn't address the Events industry most pressing need when it comes to tickets - distribution
