tough to find a community of people who have experienced issues to get feedback they're new, so lots of rough edges that are undocumented without benefit of a quora to go look up how others solved it posting here feels like shouting into void since dev topics are usually highly specific and esoteric

1. creating signers (current flow doesn't redirect back to frame, soo colorino.site) 2. documentation fragmentation 3. i'd love to get at least an fid of the users that's loading the frame imageUrl so that i can create dynamic images for users right in the feed, without even the need to open the frame! can be as simple as appending ?fid=123 to all the request going out of the client to the image server

Generating the frame manifest (requires using Warpcast mobile to sign) and the multiple caching rules and workarounds. I totally get the why behind both, but still annoying.

docs/examples spread out in various places so never sure exactly where to go there are a couple of constraints that are surprising - no back button if frame navs to another page eg. - need for a backend (notif tokens) - no native signer support - inconsistent dev tools from mobile to web eg verify manifest only on mobile - explore page agency (still showing 2 Footy apps one is deprecated)

- Seems like the sdk requires code to be on the client side instead of the server, that reduces the speed of rendering the frame, which is important for consumer products - Context data is unauthenticated

trying to build for simultaneous environments that have different behaviors: mobile app (frame) web app (frame) plus, if the frame has functionality as a site: web browser mobile browser for example, the cast intent format doesn't work for users who are using the warpcast mobile app. this isn't documented AFAIK and requires testing across multiple environments to discover.

Sharing Before adding a frame I get one URL After added I get a different share URL Not displaying in direct casts When sharing the URL from a newsletter to a frame is opens to a browser and then asks to download warpcast

Uniquely a me issue, but I used AI to create my v2 frame app (launching tomorrow) and without a debug mode I didn’t really know what to solve/ask ai to help me solve. My app worked in the url but had no idea why it wasn’t loading in here if that makes sense. Again uniquely a me issue, but I want to show people it’s easy to create a v2 frame so you might get more of this 🤷‍♂️

That the frames playground only works on mobile. Makes it hard to copy/paste urls and such, and I get distracted on my phone

Needs a shadcn moment... although I dislike the sameness from that design system 'zero to polished UX' is a big unlock to focus on PMF [which every frame dev should want]

- No console :/ - Docs could have more practical examples - Lack of tools/settings on the "Explore Frames" page, e.g: How can I delist my old/deprecated frame? How can I make my new frame more discoverable? How can I search for a frame?
