Would pay 50% more for a book that came with access to Claude / Perplexity highlight-to-ask-question.

my ideal way to read books would be to load them into an app like Obsidian, take tons of notes in-line, and then utilize an LLM to resurface interesting bits of the book + my notes whenever i want

For new non-fiction authors I'd say the new model should be to load a tuned LLM with all your thoughts and writings. Instead of subscription gated blogs and books let users dive into your content at their own pace and style (long form, conversational, etc.) with LLMs. Many authors reference other books and articles so the LLMs will be able to pull those details to add context when needed as well.

now that's an interesting idea... one thing is that I'd get lost in asking questions and it would take me 10x longer to read. It's why reading articles online is so hard for me lol

I feel there is an intersection of what David Senra built out for Founder’s Notes and Readwise for a starting framework for this.
