You can get the same type hints if you configure like 4 different vscode extensions, add jsdoc comments manually, and have your whole team code in highly specific convention. No need for typescript.

No TS sucks (most of the time). I said this years ago and I stand by it until today. It was considered very offensive, but as a JS ultra, for me this is a completely normal and non-offensive statement. Like Java sucks, or php is stupid. https://proofinprogress.com/posts/2020-09-01/typescript.html
