well … have been driving Japanese cars for more than a decade already seems the Japanese car brands are not really stepping up on electric, might be on the way out too but Toyota is building hydrogen fuel cell cars, sounds futuristic, maybe my next car? lol

tbh this is largely self-inflicted bc of the classic innovator's dilemma. VW BMW & CO. didn't take the Chinese quota serious enough until it was too late. (I am German btw). Instead, they optimised the last single digit % of front grill differences and others completely irrelevant nanodetails. It's still a petrol car!
