Is there an L2 that let's you pay for 100% of all transactions in USDC, including gas?

I think should be able to do that on any chain today with 4337 and paymasters

Noble (Cosmos L1 for USDC issuance) is probably the closest thing

Base has no gas for USDC transfers but that would be super cool!

Gelato can build this in the most effective way possible! We have all the moving parts from paymasters to smart accounts and relayers inhouse.

/zksync, thanks to native account abstraction (i.e. you can do it even with an EOA, not only smart wallets).

USDC chain would be interesting, i think would help a lot of users interact onchain easily. Practically any chain with a USDC paymaster + Smart Account gives the same kind of benefit.

Right now, an obstacle is that the ARB/OP stacks require the native gas token to be 18 decimals. This means you can’t use the official bridged USDC standard, so you would have to make your own wrapped USDC to use it as gas.

Should be able to do that for any L2 with a compatible USDC paymaster as others have mentioned, or possibly by using OpenGSN.

For EOA accounts, I added https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-3009 to USDC contracts. Smart contract wallets don't need it.

This can def be done as a ZK chain (part of zksync), via our native paymaster

zkFair is an L2 that uses Polygon CDK with the native gas token being USDC dYdX does it too as an L1 though

huh, 2 years back when everyone & their mother was spinning up a new geth L1, I put down a bet with a fren that we'll undoubtedly see a USDT and WBTC chain in the near future. Now I think they'll be L2s rather than their own L1s. Don't think Circle would risk spinning up their own USDC chain, but I bet Tether will.
