Today we released Nebula - a specialized AI for blockchain interactions. Nebula reads and writes to every EVM chain using natural language, enabling AI agents to programmatically transact value, create, deploy & interact with smart contracts, and access every blockchain. While some companies are enabling AI to use credit cards, we believe that's limiting. Agents need the ability to program value not just pay for things. With Nebula, AI agents can send/receive money, create vouchers & receipts, use escrows, interact with DeFi primitives, mint tokens, read transaction history, and directly interact with wallets - all without intermediaries. Built on our new t1 model, Nebula has native access to the complete history of smart contracts and transactions across every chain. More details on t1's architecture coming soon - we're aiming to open source it early next year.

Even with all the attention around AI, I think agents are highly under valued. Any digital task with clear instructions can be easily automated now. There's no doubt in my mind this will change the core fabric of how we work. I've built 10 workflows recently, ranging from fun to extremely useful. Took me less than 10 hours to set up and they make an impact for me and my teams daily. If you've built agents for yourself, would love to know what you built and why its useful!

I got into blockchains for permission-less, decentralized tech. No platforms controlling what we build. So when someone tries to dictate how we do things, what we can say or 'vibes', I ignore the fuck out of them. At thirdweb, we build without permission. Our software empowers devs to create apps and games however they want. Our philosophy is to build open source, self-hostable and fully customizable software. You own your platform without any lock-in. If you're building in web3: define your own terms and build things your way. Don't let someone else gatekeep your creativity.

It's really cool to see how easy it is now to build web apps with blockchains as public API servers. Here's a simple onchain game @joenrv built without a backend server: https://catattack.thirdweb.com Its just a web app and a blockchain. Signing in with social and having gas paid for you makes the experience like any other web app. The combination of this UX and cheaper blockchain transactions is making it possible for every internet app or game to start adding onchain features. We're already seeing a huge increase in the number of apps at thirdweb and the rest of this year will likely multiply it. If you're building something onchain, i'd love to chat!
