What’s your general approach before race day? Easy short run or full rest? I go easy short run with strides.

I can never do nothing. A “shakeout” is good. It’s mostly mental anyway.

I take 2 full days of rest. But nobody I know does this. Then again I don’t do much of a taper, so…. Have fun at Comrades!!!

I use it as an excuse for resting and eating lots of candy and chocolate. Likely not the best way to optimize for a race but I enjoy it ☀️🙌🏃‍♂️💨

It depends on your feelings. If you feel like you need rest - better to take a rest day. 🙂

I do a very short shakeout, 15 mins or so the day before then longer/shorter taper depending on the race

Only done the one race and didn’t feel great in the lead up so I just took it easy.
