I had a strong philosophical difference of views about what should be done in the direction of crypto's future, which is what lead me to leave Coinbase. But I will say, without a shadow of a doubt, that Coinbase is being put through absolute FUD nonsense with this, and it's so obvious the origin of this attack is coming from one of the least trustworthy people in this industry.

Would you rather trust your wrapped BTC with:
1. An audited public company with extremely rigid security controls and compliance teams (cbBTC), or
2. Justin Sun holding enough keys to a multisig to control it at any time (wBTC)

And if your answer is genuinely 2, dear god why?

Most people only know their age in terms of years. But for the last several years, I have made a point to be aware of my age in days.

Your age in years carries societal baggage around what it means to be in your 20s, 30s, etc., but your age in days just is what it is.

At 30,000 days old, you’ll be 82, roughly an average life expectancy. I celebrated my 10,000th day a few years ago. More recently, I turned 11,000 days old. I find that being aware of my age in days really helps puts things in perspective.

I keep track of my age in days by writing the number in the top right corner of my morning journal. If I go too many days in a row without journaling to simply add the number of days in my head, I’ll just look it up again on a website like daysold.com.

If you want to be more aware of your own mortality, and more willfully ignorant of what society says you should be doing at a certain age in life, I would say a healthy awareness of your age in days is good. Let me know if you decide to try it.

Growing a small account is not easy anywhere. Period. I’d argue it’s easier to grow on Farcaster than on X or IG or any other platform. Keep showing up and be active.

We have a lot more work to do, but here’s what we’ve done in the last few months to improve:

1. Moved initial feeds away from a follow-based model to algorithmic and interest-based model

2. A daily set of boosted accounts with <10K followers

3. USDC rewards normalized by followers

4. A bunch of experiments and tweaks to improve the home feed to show interesting casts from people you don’t follow yet
