playing video games on the commodore 64. i was 7, figured it couldn't be too hard? Was pretty limited by the available teaching materials at the time. Mum would let me get a magazine every few months and I'd type all the programs in. Was rad.

I once paid someone to make a website for me. I was fascinated when what I drew up for him eventually became real with clickable buttons, but it was never quite right. I started dabbling in HTML and PHP and realized... f*ck it I can totally do this myself!

It was the only way to get the game into the computer. You had to type in the code from the magazine. Then I discovered you could type in different things and *change* the game.
