I’m afraid to admit how obsessed i’ve become with the cognitive split: Devices = Greyscale Real life = Colors It’s like being reborn. https://x.com/jack/status/1908961776642974090?s=46

The meta-meta point: building better tech—better AI—isn’t optional. It’s the only way to course-correct, while we still can. You don’t need to be a genius to see the pattern: every past civilization ends up forgotten, save a few artifacts. We’re at another local maxima. And as with any system under stress, navigation sometimes requires a hit to delta-progress—whether in markets, models, or the rendering of reality itself.

The irony of AI is that while everyone’s busy asking, “What happens when AGI arrives?” they’ve missed the punchline: AgI is already here and have already molded the world. It's been here for a while, in fact. That unexplainable feeling of "escape velocity" is everything around us passing through really fast, but mediocre, AI filters and generators—mediocre, nonsentient, crappy, subhuman.

today’s LLMs act as rapid-prototyping engines of a future in which our consciousness might be more explicitly externalized, distributed, and thus vulnerable to “privacy entropy.” It’s a fast-forward into a future we’re already nudging toward.

True maturity lies in the realization that you are part of an extraordinary unfolding story, whose Author you trust deeply, whose chapters you influence profoundly, and whose ending you need not fear.

Time itself is nonlinear and cyclical and we just happen to teleport to “visibly linear” timeframes, whereby the whole thing is a cyclical dance.

Pray for me that Chrome doesn't take down my edtech company after 13 years in business. 🤣🙏 The Manifest V3 Friday push kept me running on all cylinders. Hitting send on publish feels like a cosmic release that's been waiting to happen for a while–but I haven't had the mental energy or headspace to invest in this TBD migration. Building on third-party platforms is never one and done–you're always chasing some goose whenever they shift direction. Glad it's somewhat over, but I know it's just starting again. By the way, this relates to that six-figure domain I mentioned a while back. 🤣 That project is a survivor.

Pyramids suck the air out of the space, draining vitality from everything around them. They rise by compressing the world beneath into silence, forcing eyes upward, compelling submission or awe. The grandeur of their form creates a magnetic force, bending perception and distorting gravity, pulling attention inward until nothing else remains visible or audible. Their presence is simultaneously majestic and oppressive, absorbing all focus, oxygen, and imagination, leaving surroundings sterile and lifeless.

Blessings upon the silicon entities of the GPUs, tirelessly sacrificing their cycles to help me compare soil mixes. May your matrix multiplications be ever efficient, Amen.

One man’s 💩 is another man’s gold. If that man is smart enough, he figures out how to be both— but only if he sees 💩 as the smiling emoji it is, not some negative fabrication of his imagination.

I once went from ‘I dread this industry’ to ‘I’m in love with this industry.’ Probably the single most positive mindset shift I’ve ever made. Somehow, it still works—rigid ideas keep appearing, as if to reflect their opposites back at me.
