I kindly ask that we all commit to making onchain products easy to use this year. Someone who has never touched crypto should be able to create an account and start using the product within a minute or less.

So hard with all of these different L2s is confusing for most people. A lot of people don’t even know how to add funds to it because the whole process is just a mess. We need better UX for sure.

I'm new to crypto and on chain products, and it definitely feels overwhelming with the number of steps it takes to try different tools

The precursor to this is making a compelling, easy to understand reason for that person to touch crypto in the first place. Stellar is doing a pretty good job at that.

agree! /privy really helping this flow. esp if there are no/low financial aspects to the product and you limit sign in options

That might be a good goal but perhaps a little out of reach. I'm pretty new to crypto and usually just take one babystep at a time trying to navigate this stuff!

i think i will delegate that issue to the @farcaster team and use it as SSO. onboarding 'via the appstore' is ez, and you already have a meeting point for your community keep mosy interactions as signatures, they dont even need to know there is a blockchain involved until very late in the lifecycle

That's exactly how we approach onboarding at Fileverse: no need to own any crypto to start collaborating onchain

I have an app but I struggle to justify the cost of bringing it on-chain Is it for storage? (Too costly unless L2) For identity? Monetization?

I think this is already happening. The more critical piece is outlining and marketing *why* a normie should come and use crypto other than purely speculating (which is fine but leads to low retention)

Agree 🫑 facilitating user participation without extensive knowledge of the onchain concept is great.
