I think we've tried to sell the values of crypto too much and not put enough focus on just making crypto products fun and compelling.

What in particular stands out to you about Stellar?

The precursor to this is making a compelling, easy to understand reason for that person to touch crypto in the first place. Stellar is doing a pretty good job at that.

I think this is a sentiment shared by virtually everyone today.

We've ignored it for a long time and I think it's time to wake up to the reality of how difficult the tech is to use.

I'm new to crypto and on chain products, and it definitely feels overwhelming with the number of steps it takes to try different tools

My hope is that we create compelling onboarding flows where a user doesn't need to have or fund a wallet to get started.

I'm hopeful that more teams will sponsor gas costs up to a certain threshold and make it so you never need to know what ETH is to play around and contribute value.

So hard with all of these different L2s is confusing for most people.

A lot of people don’t even know how to add funds to it because the whole process is just a mess.

We need better UX for sure.

That might be a good goal but perhaps a little out of reach.  I'm pretty new to crypto and usually just take one babystep at a time trying to navigate this stuff!

I think this is already happening. The more critical piece is outlining and marketing *why* a normie should come and use crypto other than purely speculating (which is fine but leads to low retention)

Agree 🫡  facilitating user participation without extensive knowledge of the onchain concept is great.

That's exactly how we approach onboarding at Fileverse: no need to own any crypto to start collaborating onchain
