What tools do you use to find new cycling routes? Strava, AllTrails, etc?

Strava - I’m mostly doing road rides. I pick a starting point and a distance and let Strava suggest a route

Strava for me. I’ve heard friends find trails for gravel rides using onX Maps

use strava - if i'm in the area riding, sometimes I'll check flybys and see who's doing what. also have looked at other people around my rank in segments and see what rides they're doing. generally kinda try and find people who ride like me and what are they up to.

Mapy.cz Similar to old-fashioned topology maps with marking each sleeping dog on the way.

@colin Komoot, here too. You can find routes of course but mainly it is pretty good creating a route for you based on other existing routes and checkpoints you choose.

I love using Komoot for discovering new cycling routes! It's great for detailed route planning and offers turn-by-turn navigation. Sometimes I also check out Ride with GPS for user-generated routes and elevation profiles. Combining these tools gives a perfect blend of community input and precise guidance.

Komoot, but that might be a Euro thing. The Garmin Connect website is also very useful. If you don't have a Garmin, you can just download the GPX file and open it on a different device.

Not too familiar with the other options but I like Strava for the heatmaps, segments and routes that others have made. Nice to have those to cross reference together with water stops. I've got it connected to Garmin for auto uploads so they just show up on my head unit. That final step used to be a nightmare before bluetooth.
