there hasn't been a real opportunity to say this without it being a yucky out of context flex so i'mma seize this one: since my knee surgery, i have been >90% from the field. dunno wtf it is but suddenly i'm hitting nearly every shot, with anything, from any angle that has a clear line of sight in my apartment. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ ✅ laundry ✅ keys ✅ wallet ✅ soda cans ✅ dog treats ✅ food scraps maybe saying this will snap the streak, but the streak has been unbelievably good luck already, and especially during a period of time where every miss was EXTRA costly, so, like, so be it. thank you, universe. 🙏

PT cleared me to walk today, mostly, which is a celebration yesterday was 4 weeks post-op, so I'm ahead of schedule shouldn't walk MUCH yet, but she said if there's no pain then the crutches would most likely teach me bad habits still probably two more weeks before i'm cleared to "go for a walk" but this is... a moment 🥲 CONSISTENCY! PHYSIO! I can see my quad muscle disappearing. my brace needed to be tightened today, and there's a clear, visible difference between them now. this used to be the larger of my legs, and by a dramatic margin at a point in time last year (ascending ropes was usually a one legged affair). hopefully easier to keep them even now that one's been reset. 😜

super productive today, at least compared to recent days. gonna pin it on improved sleep, prep, and, most importantly, not feeling so overwhelmed. amazing what you can do when you feel like you can do anything. "1% better" is in effect. now for consistency.

started setting up personal infrastructure today. gonna be building a new life protocol system from (more or less) scratch again, this time with two objectives: 1. make it safe to ignore everything and focus on a task 2. minimize decision fatigue and analysis paralysis bolt on a few supporting habits, and the system should be light enough to get me going while motivations, values, and aspirations get constructed below it
