I asked Kathleen this when I met her at Web Summit (Tezos are my startups lead investor, I run an art focused magazine, and have interviewed many big tez artists) She said they focused on intentionality and not pursuing hype, which aligned with the part of the NFT crowd that had same values. And they backed each other

affordable, no fees and innovations like fxhash that make cryptoart pay to play frictionless/fun. + the element of discoverability - you could bet a few ETH or a few XTZ on finding the next X copy, likely with similar odds. low cost + thriving subculture, engenders artist creativity and collector participation.

Low transaction fees, artist-centric community, f(x)hash, the immaculate vibes and legacy of early HEN, Objkt doing an excellent job with curation and discovery, the <12 hr bounce-back in the community after the founder of HEN rage quit and shut down the largest marketplace/platform in the ecosystem at the time, etc.

The tezos foundation has also been traveling around to all the major art fairs and setting up live minting experiences. I believe they have been working with fx(hash).
