Anyone can recommend on how to >start< getting fit? Ever since Covid I gained a lot of weight. Went from a total stick to being 98kg. I'm not really interested in growing a lot of muscles or turning into a gym bro, just really want to lose some weight and gain more endurance. Is doing this bike/cycle thing enough?

+ are there any apps that add some kind of gamification to it? I want to do it because I know it's important, but man it seems so god damn boring to me tbh.

Just start. It is in doing the work that we discover the work to be done.

Start running. At the beginning you feel only the pain, but when the endorphins kick in (I bet in two weeks) you will want to do it more and more. To burn fats you have to slow run at least 40min because in the first 40min you burn sugars

Define "a lot" of muscle. You don't accidentally grow "a lot" of muscle. Seems like you just want to eat less and get some cardio in. It's that simple.

You need to balance diet, exercise and sleep. This 3 things are very important. Diet have to be vegetables, proteins and less carbohydrates and no sugar at all. Exercise , if you just go for a walk every day probably will be enough. In another hand you have to sleep at least 6 hours a night but depends of age and person

I went through the same post-covid. Now all my blood biomarkers are in the optimal range and my cardio fitness is in the 80th percentile. To lose weight, low carb diet probably works very well. But to become actually healthy and fit, cardio is non negotiable.

The beauty about being fit is that there are many activities you can pick from. Heck, you can be into DDR and be fit, it is just going to take more time. You can use a vr headset with a weight vest and that will make loose weight. Are they the most effective? Probably not, but what matters more is consistency. You have
