It looks like among /politics, /geopolitics, /uspolitics, etc. /cryptoleft is a close second most active political channel on Warpcast (just behind /politics) despite being a supposedly niche channel. Why is that? I'm active here because I can't stand Twitter anymore. Does anyone else have any other reason?

Also can't stand the politics on other platforms. The loss of pragmatism and strategy and descent into knee jerk reactions is boring.

Twitter has become intolerable. I left a year and a half ago and went full-steam-ahead into Farcaster. The more time passes, the more it seems to be purely Elon simps and techno fascists. I only was there for the cryptoart community but that is so influencer driven now. I have little tolerance for the Farokhs etc.

I see more interesting takes here than in most other politics places. Other spaces all kinda seem fungible with similar takes regardless where you go (on reddit, on twitter, on here). And most other leftist spaces are aggressively anti-crypto, so their takes are unimaginative. /cryptoleft is very unique this way.

While I haven't yet written a great deal about it, part of why I'm here is the potential for making positive change, i.e. redistribution of wealth across national and class boundaries... It is also a place where we are seeing real-time experiments take place in how class-based systems are implemented by elites, or evolve organically...

same here you can’t really be on Twitter anymore right now, especially I think you can’t promote your art on there, anyway I won’t anymore atm. feeling sad for the artists that think they should somehow grind there /cryptoleft has always been a bit of my soft spot, hope we can build something useful, staking $BREAD! anyway all is better than unhinged twitter

Most politics you see on Twitter at the minute isn’t even true. It’s just misinformation and garbage from bots and echo chambers

The crypto space *seems* to be overwhelmingly conservative/right leaning. I'm just tired of trump and musk bootlickers in the crypto space. To me crypto always felt like a liberal/leftist thing. 🤷‍♀️
