Finally finished the second book in the Three Body Problem series, The Dark Forest, and promptly purchased the the third one. Looking forward to watching the TV series once I finish the third book. I liked the second one better than the first so far.

i found the third body problem series hard to read. honestly, i think it was because i had trouble keeping track of who was who. my neural net is trained to easily distinguish western names, but i was really struggling with the translation of chinese names. as a fiction book, i didn't really put in the effort to try and map out the plot, and often found myself floundering; "wait? who is this person? what is this cultural reference?"

Second book is so good. I liked three body problem but dark forest blows out of the water — so complex, creative
