Evaluating aspect ratios for Frames V2 preview: The current 1.91:1 standard doesn’t meet all builders’ needs, so we’re considering 5:4 or 3:2 as alternatives 🖼️. Screenshot of the variants is attached. Let us know which works best for your use case👇

Am I the only one that thinks it doesn’t matter since v2 frames are full screen? 😅 This was a much bigger deal when you had to interact with frames that stuck with that aspect ratio; you had to capitalize on space. With v2 and full blown apps it feels like a moot point, other than cramming info onto the cover before someone clicks on it.

Have you considered 16:9? Pretty common ratio for many social media feeds and a standard for digital displays. Otherwise, 3:2 might be best — stays narrow to not clog the feed, also has pretty wide adoption on social feeds, and very common for photography.

chose 5:4 in the poll but want to change to 3:2. it's enough space and doesn't take too much real estate

3:2 sounds like the best of all options, pretty balanced. has my vote. maybe you should start a poll? 😂

Tie between 3:2 and 5:4 for me. Don’t forget to vote in the poll!

Both 5:4 and 3:2 feel good to me, 1.91:1 is too limiting for even a good display frame Both of these ratios leave enough space for more information dense apps but don’t consume the entire feed on mobile

it’d be pretty cool to have 4:5 and 2:3 as these are more mobile friendly — as mentioned below, 9:16 would perhaps be too much. https://warpcast.com/rodrigobardin/0x682df96e

Gut says 5:4, even though rationale feels stronger for 3:2.

3:2 gets my untrained eye & vote as long as we devs don't need to continuously change image sizes, I don't care. Pick a size. Any size & stick with it 🙏 😭

if we can't have adaptive size, i would pick 5/4 because it doesn't take too much space but in the same time won't crop content as much as 1.91:1 or 3:2 do.

All of the above for artists. Their aspect ratios change piece by piece.
