i feel sad to know @farcaster is going to basically heavily handicap if not outright kill /frames with the v2 spec. Frames without post buttons are probably as useful as the original OpenGraph metadata. if we strip interactivity from the primitve, what innovation is left worth pereserving in it ?

So the post calls go away the spec pushes you to replace that with a miniapp experience? Am I reading the new spec right?

No more post buttons? Honestly I don't know what they expect this place to be.

But every time I read about limiting updates, I get the feeling that maintenance costs are high and it’s expensive for them, yet they never mention it. We know the infrastructure maintenance costs for this type of platform. Have they ever communicated on this?

i'm bullish on this change as both the mental and code complexity is gonna go down, and ux is gonna go insanely up. the only technical difference that might be super-breaking is that there won't be no frame action messages sent to hubs, thus if one had some frame analytics built on top of that, it will die.

Removing interactivity from frames diminishes their value and innovation. It's sad to see potential wasted
