i don’t think prediction markets are particularly epistemically sound for predicting the outcomes of elections it’s hard to reason about political outcomes because your preferences condition your predictions. and the set of people their associated capital who process this differently — i don’t think it’s enough to clear the market also…you can make money noise trading. your exit is not required to be nov 5th. people talk about poll deviation arbs but…idk my (untested) guess is that prediction makers have momentum independent of polls so… idk. just color me skeptical about the wisdom of crowds not unconditionally sampled over the distribution political ideologies, placing bets

River just raised a $1.6M pre-seed round! We're building an events platform for global brands to let members from their community host on their behalf. We're thrilled to partner with Blue Wire Capital, Blockwall, Blockchain Founders Capital, Solana Foundation, Very Early Ventures, and LAUNCH for our pre-seed round. 15 months ago I had an insight while building community for The All-In Podcast. I couldn’t find an event platform that would let fans host their own events without data sharing issues and tons of work. So Jason Calacanis suggested we build one. He invested along with @balajis.eth We’re super proud of how much we built this past year with just $150k angel round. Our MVP has powered community events for The All-In Podcast, Bryan Johnson, My First Million, Tim Ferris, Superteam, DeGods, Solana Foundatjon, and more. We’ve already had over 2,000 events, produced by 3,000 crowd-sourced hosts with 55k attendees.

The online release of "Alien: Romulus" took place, and despite the fact that the film greatly disappointed me, I watched the trailers-which I had deliberately avoided before watching-and shall note that this video is one of the best video promos of 2024. Half of the chrome footage we hear the rumble sound of a blow, which, gathering momentum, by the middle turns out to be the sound of a cracking chest of one of the characters, out of which a chest buster tries to crawl out. Only in this very moment we see the company's logo. But that's not all the cool ideas. Towards the end, when the classic trailer would finally raise the pathos and volume of the music, increase the dynamics and the number of sound effects-comes a complete rejection of the commercial "canon" and undermines the expected:. The heroine's scream is drowned out by the hum of the ultrasound, which goes on almost to the very end of the video. It's a VERY ballsy call, and I can only applaud the marketing department that approved such a concept.

I got an email impersonating ENS saying that my domain was going to expire in 24 hours, I went to the legitimate domain without clicking on any link and realized that my domain expired 3 weeks ago. Many thanks to the scammer, this way I could renew it in the grace period.
