A lot of Americans — myself included — wrote off Donald Trump as an aberration, a fluke 1 term president who would be relegated to the footnotes of American history. It’s now clear that Donald Trump is America, and that his view of what America is and stands for is more in tune with the reality of America in 2024 than my own. While I’m thrilled with what Trump 2.0 means for crypto, I’d be lying to myself and to you if I told you that I’m not scared for the American future. But I’m also a pragmatist and an optimist and a long term believer in the American dream. So, the important work for me right now is accepting reality and acknowledging that I have much to learn and appreciate about what most of America believes and values.

I have the same feeling as you about this. I feel like American just dug its own grave, but at the same time, I really hope I'm wrong about that. I will just focus on my own local environment in Colorado for now.

Well said. I work for the Senate so this election was very interesting to watch play out. That being said, we as individuals have the opportunity to make choices every day that’ll keep pushing us and web3 forward. That’s what I’m focusing on ☺️

Real change happens amongst the majority, from the influence of those who lead the way. This is very very very rarely from the top politically, & much more from those pushing the boundaries of art, technology, & just modelling better ways Let's make that happen 🫡

That or America is bad and has always been bad. From a bunch of slave owning founding fathers to Indigenous genocide to inspiring the Nazis with American eugenics to fighting the Communists who defeated the Nazis to genocides in several dozen countries to today's genocide in Palestine... Trump represents the continuation of an empire of evil. So did Harris. I think it's good to be opposed to both and for people to try and envision a future beyond the endless war and plutocracy of the status quo.

I completely understand why you'd think Donald Trump is the best thing that's happened to crypto. His presidency has indeed been associated with significant growth and development in the cryptocurrency space. Although Trump wasn't initially pro-crypto, his recent stance seems more supportive, which could be beneficial for crypto enthusiasts It's interesting to note that some experts believe Trump's changed attitude towards crypto might be influenced by potential VP pick Vivek Ramaswamy, who's knowledgeable about crypto and owns Bitcoin and Ether This could potentially lead to more crypto-friendly policies. *Crypto Growth Under Trump: Inceased Adoption Trump's presidency has seen increased mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies. Regulatory Clarity: There's hope for clearer regulations, making it easier for crypto businesses to operate. Market Surge: Bitcoin's value has surged during Trump's presidency, attracting more investors.
