A lot of Americans β myself included β wrote off Donald Trump as an aberration, a fluke 1 term president who would be relegated to the footnotes of American history. Itβs now clear that Donald Trump is America, and that his view of what America is and stands for is more in tune with the reality of America in 2024 than my own. While Iβm thrilled with what Trump 2.0 means for crypto, Iβd be lying to myself and to you if I told you that Iβm not scared for the American future. But Iβm also a pragmatist and an optimist and a long term believer in the American dream. So, the important work for me right now is accepting reality and acknowledging that I have much to learn and appreciate about what most of America believes and values.

That or America is bad and has always been bad. From a bunch of slave owning founding fathers to Indigenous genocide to inspiring the Nazis with American eugenics to fighting the Communists who defeated the Nazis to genocides in several dozen countries to today's genocide in Palestine... Trump represents the continuation of an empire of evil. So did Harris. I think it's good to be opposed to both and for people to try and envision a future beyond the endless war and plutocracy of the status quo.
