Getting friends & family set up with wallets. And I do think that if there were a wallet as easy as Venmo that would change, but there is just so much to get from A -> B there in terms of UX that sometimes it feels like education would be more effective than development.

Most friends don’t want to deal with crypto. There’s nothing to spend it on and it eventually needs to make it to their bank. There’s a lot of friction for them to get a wallet and/or exchange account set up to then have an experience that’s no better than Venmo assuming great UX

Taxes and off-ramp for everyday use. I moved money from the UK to Canada using Wise (super cheap) because I can then actually spend the CAD, unlike USDC. Otherwise I need to pay the spread / fee to convert USDC to CAD.

For dealing with crypto-native friends: cost efficiency (gas), privacy For non-natives: Crypto onboarding. Transferring through a centralized custodian like CB is probably the closest thing to making this happen

Was having so much trouble figuring out how to pay my siblings/cousins in Canada (no venmo) and broached stablecoins. Alas, no wallets, no on/off ramps, no desire to keep/hold assets in crypto atm.
