What’s stopping you from using stablecoins instead of Venmo/Cash App? Privacy? Security? Getting friends & family setup w/ wallets? All three?

Getting friends & family set up with wallets. And I do think that if there were a wallet as easy as Venmo that would change, but there is just so much to get from A -> B there in terms of UX that sometimes it feels like education would be more effective than development.

And by A -> B challenges there I mean things like transaction signing, key management, and selecting a proper stablecoin (and/or wallet—often hand in hand)… we need better UX, but honestly so much of this is still so ridiculously foreign to most people.

I wish there were a more clear path forward for doing things that are clearly crypto-participation but are still accessible to do—but I totally agree that the future is likely one in which it’s invisible financial backed infra.

Was just looking at Pix. Super cool! Love love love projects that are actually expanding financial inclusion using on-chain solutions. 

I got to meet some folks working adjacent to this with Celo last week. Truly some of cryto’s finest working on infra like this.

UX is huge. Something like Pix in Brazil proves it’s possible to start from zero and get widespread adoption of a new digital payment method.

The most successful application of crypto is probably something where the average user doesn’t even realize it’s crypto
