The practice of bridging between protocols today is absurd. The user friction is comparably frustrating to getting booted from the internet in 1997 when my home phone rang. Something has to change for mainstream adoption to occur. Who here is going to fix this?

good luck, I doubt there's a way to do better. Name one cross-protocol experience that's as good or better than a native experience

What bridges or bridge aggregators have you used? There’s a few good options but the overall process is still pretty absurd Wormhole across.to rango.exchange bungee.exchange mayan.finance

🙋🏾‍♂️ with @sugarcane you don’t have to think about bridges, chains nor gas.

It took me 25 minutes to figure out how to bridge ETH to Base. 3 ways that were supposed to work just flatly didn’t. The UX in crypto is definitely holding back adoption.

Industry collaboration, improved standards, cross-platform solutions, user-centric design, and education can address this issue and drive mainstream adoption.

All the major L2 ecosystems have some version of shared liquidity coming. Op stack has the Superchain, Polygon has agglayer, etc. Those should at least give you a single chain experience within their cloud of chains. You have decent bridge aggregation already, but new solutions like Espresso... 1/2

We have been working on this exact problem for more than a year. Where we are going, the users don't have to worry about bridging. Currently it takes a min. of 9 clicks to go on a new chain, add rpcs, bridge, open app url and then you finally get to approve + deposit, but with Unison you just approve & deposit.

First: the etherum Cancun update - this makes bridging cheaper than buying things with the credit card. Second: standardized inter chain tokens (layer zero, axelar, ccip) Third intent-driven protocols (like what we are building)

There's a lot of protocols However 1inch still does an excellent job and there's rocketex as well, a lot of aggregation protocols in place to make bridging cheaper.

I’ve used this exact example dozens of times when talking about crypto UX. The most important thing to remember is that we *did* get past dialup, even when there was no immediate solution in sight As long as theres an incentive, builders gonna build

Even more so, just having different sites connected to different chains (L2s) is a huge pain. I switch tabs in my browser and immediately the site complains and wants me to change network and then I switch back and the same dance in the other direction etc.
