I think a lot of people just didn’t re-lock after initial unlocks. Those that did, now have smaller allocations and are probably stacking up their allowance over multiple days to be able to give at least one “meaningful” tip to someone. Kind of been my strategy so far, but then I’m tipping so seldomly that I forget 😅

I have nothing of value to add here except that it was a struggle for me to get a decent allowance even after locking so I stopped trying and put my focus elsewhere like liquidity pools

degen locks killed it giving allowance to folks with most locked vs most active and highest ranking current reward system could work real great I think for new allowances but don't think any changes on that expected

Yeah, tipping’s slowed down, but it’s not because the idea stopped working. It’s just that most people here treat everything like a quick flip—like pump.fun. They jump in, farm, speculate, then move on when the next shiny thing drops.

Lot of good discussion here. Ultimately token value x nerfed allocations = the amounts aren’t meaningful enough for the higher visibility accounts to lock and tip - which slows the flywheel of 2025 $Degen awareness. I recently advocated for refocusing the tipping mechanism to the /degen channel to concentrate tips on alpha and conversation that creates edge and opportunity rather than tipping for any cast Though think @jacek has a different direction planned with the work recruiting new devs.

Might be due to fear of breaking unwritten rules, trauma from past seasons etc. people who were not farming lost their claim anyway so nobody trusts it anymore or seems to care. I still tip, but I wait a few days for it to build up (as long as I don't forget to do it, which happens often 😆)
