i do agree with Austin's point that crypto as a brand sucks at this point. there's too many antagonist sub communities in there and the cheapest are the loudest

this guy clearly hasn't used stripe. can't handle many many businesses. charges exorbitant fees esp for international businesses. the cost is doing businesses via chargebacks is massive with stolen cards. living in a bubble. why do ppl even bother responding to such a privileged child.

but crypto does have an enormous culture problem and it's a wicked problem, so there's less incentives to tackle it than just build more things for the current culture so the culture remains divisive, even repulsive, yet incredibly profitable

the longer(er) answer: explicitly putting corporate governance and shares in the form of a token does not obviate all the compliance work you have to do anyway, and potentially makes it 50x harder because now you have all the problems of a transferable security token if you don't disable the transfer function. "embracing technology" doesn't change the law.
