"crypto is culturally repulsive" betrays the idea that culture is something you join, rather than shape 

that's a static approach to life

someone wise once said that "life can be much broader, once you discover one simple fact, and that is that everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use"

but crypto does have an enormous culture problem

and it's a wicked problem, so there's less incentives to tackle it than just build more things for the current culture

so the culture remains divisive, even repulsive, yet incredibly profitable
