Feeling heartbroken looking at the pictures and videos of the hurricane aftermath coming out of Asheville and greater WNC The media isn’t covering the damage there because there’s no way to get in or out, nor any cell reception right now I’m not sure how to help from afar but if I figure out how, I’ll let y’all know

We are in central NC so been following pretty closely. They're saying the amount of rain they got is something that happens once every thousand years or so. It's heart breaking to watch this all unfold just a few hours away.

Tragic 😔 In incidences like this where the cell service is down, I wonder how many people have an iPhone with satellite capabilities? My understanding is that Apple covers the fees for another year or so and it should automatically make it an option if it can’t connect to a local carrier

ASCE kept saying our infrastructure was one big storm away from failing. Absolutely breaks my heart that we're seeing this yet again for somewhere that is truly magical to visit.

I have family out there, presently have no idea if they're okay or not, it's pretty jarring seeing what trickle of reports and footage is coming out of there right now
