Deep funding combines two ideas: 1. Value as a graph: instead of asking "how much did X contribute to humanity?", ask "how much of the credit for Y belongs to X?" 2. Distilled human judgement: an open market of AIs fills in all the weights, human jury randomly spot-checks them https://x.com/TheDevanshMehta/status/1867600164502089925 (1) has been a growing paradigm recently, for good reason. Contribution is hard to measure in the abstract: if you ask people how much they would pay to save N birds, they answer $80 for N=2000 and N=200000. "Local" questions like "is A or B more valuable to C?" are much more tractable. (2) is based on ideas in my info finance post: https://vitalik.eth.limo/general/2024/11/09/infofinance.html#info-finance-for-distilled-human-judgement . Anyone can use any methods (eg. AI) to suggest weights for *all* edges, a human jury does detailed analysis on a random subset. The submissions that are most compatible with the jury answers decide the final output. https://deepfunding.org/

There's a problem with this theory: I'm a direct representative of the globalist WEF elite and I don't endorse the OpenAI for-profit transition https://x.com/AxelrodThe2nd/status/1865332310729466216

Most current crypto VCs are clueless about everything, from crypto, to business, to building companies, to economics. They just won the lottery when they bought BTC or ETH cheap, some years ago. Take their money, but not their advice.

I feel like I disagree with this approach to government efficiency: https://x.com/DOGE/status/1860739165144367441 The examples listed are a tiny fraction of all spending. If a government _optimizes_ for "don't make oopses that look bad on twitter", then it will end up missing a lot of valuable opportunities, and at the same time lots of actually-wasteful large-scale things will remain just because they look respectable. You _want_ a VC-like approach on small-scale public funding, that is okay with large quantities of oopses, because its goal is to make sure it captures the 1000x opportunities. Concentrate prudence energy on the large-scale stuff.

I'll add my debanking story. I was debanked by Bank of America in 2019 for sending transactions to coinbase and operating a Cosmos staking as a service company - just a dear john letter, no explanation. Shortly after my 2 person staking company was sent a letter of veiled threats by the SEC with accompanying demands for discovery documents including every email, invoice, contract, and detailed legal explanation for everything i was doing. The legal reply cost mega $$$ - i shut down the staking business after realizing i couldn't fight the U.S. gov alone then got 10x pilled on DeFi and started Bankless. If you tell normies the bank shut down you down and you got a letter from the SEC they assume you're a criminal so you don't tell people. That's the insidious part - they try to isolate you. I’m not saying my debanking story is the most tragic thing ever woe is me. I'm doing fine. What I'm saying is this shouldn't happen in America.

touching down in the US after 21 days of based around the world — want to share some quick reflections: 1. builder energy has 10x'd in the last year. in every country we touched down in — kenya, india, thailand, singapore, malaysia, philippines — hundreds of builders showed up to build the future. my mind is blown and i feel so grateful. thank you all for showing up to build with us. 2. base culture is attracting world-class leaders. in every country, people are showing up to build a global onchain economy and doing it in a based way. this is proving to be a filter for incredible talent: folks who are hard working, visionary, creative, optimistic, and excited to build the future. 3. if we're not on the ground, we're not in the game. we learned so much and made so many important connections being in every country. and it became really obvious how important being there really is. we're going to be 10x'ing our on the ground presence in 2025. ... cont'd in next cast

I think the reason for this absolute hatred of crypto is that the predominant modern leftist mindset depends on a belief in governance making everything better how to fix healthcare? more government involvement how to fix income inequality? more government involvement crypto is an oil and water situation when it comes to this mindset one of the most OBVIOUS governmental duties is issuing currency crypto being legitimate would mean that this, a basic core use case of governments, is outperformed by the free market it's easier to block out the possibility of this being true than to adjust your fundamental worldviews
