an interesting question. sometimes reaching a stage where you are seeing strong organic growth for one cohort of users opens opportunities to make revenues from another. the typical consumer products such as google and facebook in their early days. I would guess google had PMF for the users searching for information on internet before they had their ad product ready. which raises an interesting question. has it ever happened that a product reached that stage but failed to monetize.

that's a step towards it but that signal alone isn't PMF to me. PMF is closer to people paying for your service at an accelerating rate and you're not quite sure how it's happening and why everything is breaking (but they continue to pay for it)

hate to say it but... probably depends on the product for example I wouldn't judge Warpcast based on how many people would pay for it I think B2B is more often if someone would pay

If they use it, but don't pay for it, then there is no market. If they would pay for it, but can't use it, then there is no product.
