start slow. like, it should feel painfully slow. never ever celebrate being “ahead of pace” unless you’re more than halfway through you got this!

Make yourself an upbeat playlist. Get lost in the music!

Start running, then continue, and finally arrive! No seriously, I also didnt think of myself as a runner until I signed up and finally had something to train for. Will hopefully run my next one next year!

Awesome! Make sure to have fun and let the race be a celebration of your training! Comfy socks, shoes, and hydration are a must. About one month out for a half, my training would be something like Monday rest Tuesday easy 3 miles Wednesday easy 2 miles, 5x 1 min sprint/1 min easy, easy 2 miles Thursday easy 3 miles Friday rest Saturday easy 8 miles Sunday easy 6 miles with 4x 30 second hill sprints
