hello, i recently reset my following in an attempt to build a technical-only following feed. this is because many of my friends show up in the other feeds/channels already. maybe i’ll switch to subscription notifications later, but this seems to be the only way i can hopefully surface that content at the moment without being overshadowed by popularity.

i just want to clarify it has nothing to do with any individual, and i don’t mean to single anyone out or diminish their value to the network or as a person.

every day when i log in here, my hope is to learn something new and grow closer to being professionally successful. it’s an experiment.

I wonder if ten years from now, the ability to type code character-by-character on a physical keyboard without the help of an LLM could be considered a survival skill.

Like treading water, starting a fire or knowing the Heimlich maneuver.

Looking for keystone reads on reducing complexity in software engineering. Blogs and essays, not books.

To me, reducing complexity means removing non-essential capabilities and/or adding graceful abstractions.

What’s the prior art on this?

when you hear ‘workflow orchestration platform’ what do you think of?

this is an interesting take, i don’t have to deal with the noise, but i should definitely deal and make do with the clunkiness. the space needs users more than anything.

everything is web3 is either a blockchain or a protocol. 

verifiable compute is pretty close but its not decentralized or permissionless. 

these tools on their own don’t give us enough to replace web2, so we will use web2 systems as a fallback. 

i don’t believe mass adoption of web3 happens without completely eclipsing web2 capabilities.
