yall mind if i get vulnerable a second?? ok so i got dropped by my commercial agent last week.... this is partly cos of this years injury and not being able to compete as much as id have liked...so i get it and also partly cos i don't really post on insta anymore it's funny cos i tried to explain what im building onchain but they didn't get it and didn't really listen?? idk part of me is sad because i don't love being dropped/rejected?? and feeling like im not good enough but part of me is happy cos i already know that i'm not the conventional athlete really think what im building here is special and will be recognised in the future even if it isn't super meaningful in the mainstream right now there are so many more possibilities onchain and i would rather be supported by ppl who actually believe in my potential on and off the track anyway glad thats off my chest will prob delete later x

Before you delete (if you do), take a screen grab and save it for later. At the going rate I believe you will look back at this moment as just a pivotal point in time that had to happen for you to pursue something bigger than this agent could fathom. We are so early

Even if it's anticipated, rejection always stings a bit. But I do think you're on a path that better aligns with your interests and values. It's clear wherever you ever choose to go you give it your all!! And no one can take that away from you.

Sorry to hear about getting dropped. That’s tough in any case. My personal rule for fundraising, consultants, agents, etc, is if I’m me, I will attract the right “them”. Every time I deviate from this rule like bending to someone else’s worldview, or whatever, I end up with the wrong people around me. There are some insanely well connected people on this app. If you look for a new agent… lean on this amazing community! 👊 👍 💪

“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.” Makes sense why a traditional agent wouldn’t understand what you’re doing here. Connecting directly with an audience cuts out the middle man. Rejection doesn’t feel great so sorry you’re feeling badly about it but you shouldn’t let it get you down!!

I'm sure a new opportunity will appear soon. Who knows what having the most trending right arm of all casters could do for you. Keep going! fwiw casts are never really deleted they get what's called nullified so just leave it. There's a Dune query out there showing all the deleted casts which is kinda fun to see.

It's sad to hear what happened. Your agent doesn't know what he's missing out on. Not only because of your true potential, but for the onchain potential as well. Everything is on the blockchain forever and you have that proof always. I don't get why one injury is such a big deal. That's how you get stronger and with your story, it's even more inspiring.

Yeah, that stinks. So in the last few months you’ve been rejected by 1 commercial agent and greatly received by like 6,000 Farcasters. Not the worst trade off. 💜 Note: You might want to think about minting this rather than deleting it. It’s your story. 👊
