i find @cryptothegame a cool case study on leveraging the culture of crypto more than the tech

it needed very online, reasonably affluent, and interest aligned people to thrive more than it needed decentralized infra for season 1

think this is an under appreciated reason for consumer founders to build here

the thing about the social side that broke on Twitter was the ease of rebooting/hiding/obscuring identity.

the upside of Farcaster and other protocols will be the persistence & transparency of identity.

i'm with you though - social first, financial upsides come behind.

Hmm not sure we disagree but i would say composability is the key. That's what makes social with native financial primitives so powerful.

modern gaming is also social, so it doesn’t preclude a game being a killer use case. I guess ctg is a case in point!
