The “interview” attack is so smart because so many legitimate companies have you install and run sketchy software when interviewing. Side note - Perhaps a good interview method is to insert something that could be potentially malicious and see if prospective employee picks up on it.

Howdy guys, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm fascinated by IT security and "hacking". I remember asking my dad (in the 1990ies) how websites get hacked, when I can't find a user/login page on a site like Altavista. Fast forward 30 years later I learned about crypto and was surprised how much money people were able to steal, without it making big waves in traditional media. If you rob a post-train you'll make national news, if North Korea steals 600M from Axie Infinity, nobody outside the crypto space hears about it. That's why I started to write a weekly newsletter/post about all the things that went wrong in crypto. I named it TMZ CRYPTO after the celebrity gossip page TMZ, because I also cover "Twitter drama" related to crypto. I got banned from Twitter earlier this year and stopped writing my episodes, but yesterday I picked it up again and wrote episode #42. The more I read microsoft, aws and other big companies webpages the more I am convinced the people making decisions to purchase know nothing. No technical explainers, no matrix to know if you're compatible. It "just works" but every tech person knows thats false, many vague statements like "this is secure" sadge :(
