This is why security is a scary place, not because solutions don't exist but because they typically arent in place

The scary part isn’t the lack of solutions but the lack of implementation; I agree with that take, It’s like having a state of the art alarm system but forgetting to turn it on. 
Human error is a massive factor in security breaches though. Even with the best technology, a single mistake can open the door to hackers.

I feel cyber security is going the one of the most important jobs with time
