Farcaster is about friends not followers

It's Facebook 2.0 but with URL → IRL friends

Friends are what keep me coming back, not content

i’m not putting any effort into these numbers because they don’t mean anything. maybe 3k people and 22k bots.

i made some friends in the early days when we had 100 DAUs and continued just being myself. better to have 50 friends than 50,000 “followers”. growth hacking anything social is an anti-signal.

thought the same. if farcaster is a non stop conference its best when its in afterparty mode. the algo at times makes it feel like the talks have started and i cant hear my frens shittalking bc of the loudspeakers

Friends really the reason why I keep coming back

It's currently the vibe but I expect that to shift as we continue to grow. Channels + narrow casting might provide something akin to Path or Google+ style circles that allow for content filtering from posters but I'm curious to see the up take on that.

Content in farcaster sucks. I am truly amazed that we live in a time where chat GPT api key is available to everyone and costs pennies. Yet they still can’t implement that shit into farcaster. My for you page is flooded with some AI generated bs with thousands of followers and badges . Cool app 🙈

Frankly, I think warpcast is one of the best Web3 social apps I've seen
