Interesting to see a lot of food creators move to Substack as their “deeper” platform I guess it has the benefit of being easily monetizable but still doesn’t feel native to food recommendations where the atomic unit is often a place on a map

food, fashion, lots of cultural niches moving to Substack the app is pretty great at discoverability imo due to author recommendations, topics search, etc

Totally agree, nothing about substack is native to food either on the restaurant/map side or the recipe/cooking side. The thing that really blows my mind is most people’s first complaint about food blogs is the life story before the recipe. So instead, Substack gives us… wait… more life stories.
