"what website does this" literally every major website i can think of lol > instagram > spotify > facebook > twitter > linkedin > a lot of ecommerce and grocery websites tiktok is the only one who doesn't bc they opt for search key suggestions

Compare the team sizes and capitalization of all those companies to Merkle's. It's definitely possible to get search on Warpcast to work that way but it's not trivial. Requires investment in infra and engineering time that has to be prioritized against other work.

Nah come on, it would take an engineer an hour to debounce the search input. It has nothing to do with infra, just frontend.

in the meantime you can initiate search by pressing return on the keyboard which is way faster than moving your finger to top of screen to press search
