I appreciate that data. I'm not defining "safety" as just "homicide deaths involving a firearm". I'm defining it as related to the 2nd amendment and the ability to defend oneself against other citizens as well as a potential tyrannical overseer government, one that might have a lot of surveillance, power addiction and tendency to corruption. I personally, however, had never had a need to defend myself against the government. Others have. My children or grandchildren might. So, I'm not so much caring about ME, I'm caring about THEM.

Don’t get me wrong. I just took gun training and am happy to know how to operate a gun. But I’m not going to play like it’s societally healthy. Implicit in your argument is that all people who died by gun in 🇺🇸 deserved it. IMO we basically already have the surveillance and power addicted government and have for awhile. Nobody does anything least of all resist that because the collective iq has been reduced to double digits at best, and being fat, gambling, and drugs are the lifestyle of choice, the opiates of the masses.
