Countries with strict gun control laws tend to have lower rates of gun violence compared to those with more permissive policies, suggesting that widespread civilian gun ownership does not always equate to greater safety. https://www.healthdata.org/news-events/insights-blog/acting-data/gun-violence-united-states-outlier#:~:text=Numerous%20studies%20have%20highlighted%20promising,violence%20epidemic%2C%20in%20one%20chart However, who cares about THEM. It is all about ME.

I appreciate that data. I'm not defining "safety" as just "homicide deaths involving a firearm". I'm defining it as related to the 2nd amendment and the ability to defend oneself against other citizens as well as a potential tyrannical overseer government, one that might have a lot of surveillance, power addiction and tendency to corruption. I personally, however, had never had a need to defend myself against the government. Others have. My children or grandchildren might. So, I'm not so much caring about ME, I'm caring about THEM.
