everything we have here is because of degen; this is how crypto works every single one of your favorite “influencers” & almost all of the devs here made $100K+ on degen, which was then reinvested that money sparked a dao, which funded proxy, which led us to clanker. it was the eth that was thrown in higher partydao. it was the seed for tn100x, which then built bnkr. it was the entirety of retention via microsub tips & hypersub. it held artists. it sparked innovation. it helped fund enjoy, farterminal, bleu. it helped fund jeeves, source, and now clankermon. it gave the cpg folks gas. it sparked farcon itself. it pushed VC capital directly into our eco. it built massive communities around bfg, wake, pichi, burr, and moxie. it brought in ghouls & mfers. it built super & other clients. it was degentlemen which led to farworld & now farcade it formed, funded & retained the initial community—those who still make up most of fc today this is how downstream ecosystem propagation works happy birthday 🎩

ya i hear you. curious what percentage of devs have churned? from what I see people keep iterating and finding things that work. is this feedback few but loud or general consensus? fwiw don't fully disagree with users first. obviously its a happy medium, but tough to find perfect balance

more devs = better projects = more users? using WAU (only concrete data I could find): Week of April 1 saw ATH in Degen tipping (~28,109) which was ~27.5% of Farcaster WAU (~102,237) Week of March 11 saw ATH frames usage (~12,973) which was ~21.51% of Farcaster WAU (~60,322) usage up by Degen and frames = usage up for other projects across Farcaster built around the two flashes in the pan and not necessarily sustainable but more shots on net lead to more users

I think about this too, I usually remove the “I feel” or “i think” because 1. it’s *weaker* and 2. sometimes don’t want to make it about me by using I too much. But ya think it’s a little bit unauthentic. Glad you think about this too

compared to YikYak, Poaster and Reddit, @anonworld is better for users and communities because you can: - build a persistent reputation (couldn't on YikYak) - w/ verified credentials (couldn't on Poaster, Reddit) - toggle anonymity for dif topics using one account (can't anywhere else) excited for the native app

Been thinking about “pessimists sound smart optimists make money” Basically the same meme as bell curve. I think “make money” can also be replaced with “achieve desired outcome” whether financial or otherwise. And sound smart has to do with desiring status.
