My family is going to Paris for a few days in March. Where is the best area to get a hotel so that it's simple to go around the city and do all the sightseeing. We're planning Versailles one of the days as well. Is public transport pretty good? Also would love any general tips if you've been!

6th Arrond is awesome! My sister went this summer and stayed at Hotel D'Orsay + really liked it. A little bit of a quieter area (around a bunch of museums) but easily walkable to many parts of town + close to the Seine Personal rec is to avoid the 2nd Arrond

I like the new hotel https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ho8TzibTorACV5JJ9?g_st=ic It’s a very nice area, the hotel has an amazing gym and swimming pool (the best for children), close by one of the biggest park in the city. Close to everything l.
