My family is going to Paris for a few days in March. Where is the best area to get a hotel so that it's simple to go around the city and do all the sightseeing. We're planning Versailles one of the days as well. Is public transport pretty good? Also would love any general tips if you've been!

6th Arrond is awesome! My sister went this summer and stayed at Hotel D'Orsay + really liked it. A little bit of a quieter area (around a bunch of museums) but easily walkable to many parts of town + close to the Seine Personal rec is to avoid the 2nd Arrond

Oooh will check it out, thanks for the rec! Why avoid 2nd arrond? Seems like all the spots are walking from there
