what is better for supercast wallet? A: support all chains (like degen or ham L3s), but the user needs to take care of their own gas fees B: support *only* base but there is no gas fees ever

I said for now Base only no gas, can always fragment or expand from there. My build philosophy is always start simple then iterate.

I think the user don’t have to think about gas. I mean, sometimes the windows to buy something are very thin and it’s frustrating when you have to deal with everyday things and the right time to buy. I spent too much money on gas since 2021 just because of lack of time. If we want onboard people we need to think that not everyone would love to spend days checking gas.

went w no gas bc i believe this is the best way to onboard a complete beginner to onchain social - could the onramp/offramp be embedded directly in the supercast front end versus linking out to fund the wallet? that's the next piece i think about, wish coinbase pay had option to verify through kyc, use the on/offramp directly to base, without even needing a coinbase account

Dang what a question, I would go with all chains, especially with Zora and Degen and others. While abstracting away the gas is nice, think closing off to the broad community is short sighted.

all chains as long as the gas fees are reasonable base only sort of feels restrictive and i don’t think it would entice users

It depends on the extent of the wallet. But I think all chains need to be supported. Gas fees will drop a lot in the future so it will be good for the wallet later on. I don't think the gas fee will have a big impact.

For now, it is good to have free gas fees on the base chain. However, if you think about the distant future, I think it's all chains.
